With a multitude of activities, the Texas Hill Country has you covered for spring break and getting the kids or grandkids out of the house. There’s lots to see and lots to do – literally. Like the DoSeum of San Antonio. A state-of-the-art, interactive museum for kids, the DoSeum is one of the most breathtaking children’s museums, full of family entertainment and learning. With a focus on interactive exhibits making use of science, literacy, technology, imagination, art, and creativity, there’s no telling what the kids will learn and “do”!

There’s a Spy Academy, where kids can learn to use math skills to problem-solve their way through missions. There’s Baxter, a working robot who encourages kids in the creative process. A Puppet Parade designed by MIT allows visitors (adults, too) to use their bodies in controlling large creatures which are projected on a wall in front of them. The DoSeum Treehouse – one of the largest free-standing outdoor treehouses in the United States – will keep you busy at 26-feet in the air (and it’s ADA accessible), and a musical staircase will create light and music as you take steps up or down!

The San Antonio DoSeum is located in the Broadway Reach district with more than 26,000 square feet of indoor exhibits and an additional 39,000 square feet of outdoor exhibit and play space. It’s also designed as one of the most sustainable museums in the state due to its incorporation of solar power and water recycling mechanisms! Their Spring Break Camps are now enrolling, however, if you would simply like to make the trip yourselves and take the kids or grandkids, their hours and admission fees are listed here on their website.
