The leaves will soon begin to change, if the sign that pumpkin spice everything is back in restaurants and stores is any indication! That being said, for those of you that want to start bringing out the fall décor and gussying up your home in preparation for mugs of hot cocoa, the last of the year’s backyard marshmallow roasts, and cozy cable knit sweaters, we have some easy, DIY fall wreaths that will help you do just that. Fall is bursting with color and there’s absolutely no reason you can’t incorporate that into your home decorating as well!

1. Fall Florals Wreath

Using a standard foam wreath base from your local craft store, select a measure of craft fall flowers in colors that complement each other or complement the door you’ll be decorating them with. Normally the flowers can be clipped and the wires will nestle nicely within the foam without the need for a hot glue gun. However, if you have such a thing on hand, and you want to ensure they stay put in some of our strong winds, you can always add a touch just to secure them.

2. An Asymmetrical Twig Wreath

The design and premise for this are quite simple. A grapevine or craft twig wreath base is used, and choosing a modicum of fall colors in fake berries, fruits, vegetables, and florals, place the items on one side of the wreath using wire, fishing line, or hot glue. A nice burlap bow truly sets off this piece, and it will look great on your front door, fireplace mantel, or even in your dining room!

3. Halloween or Team-Themed Ribbon Wreath

Following in the footsteps of this great crafter, ribbons in a Halloween theme or selected after the school team of your choice, can be elegantly placed and pulled through a wire wreath frame, allowing for the appropriate amount of bunching to occur. Bows, team symbols or cheers, Halloween characters and so much more can be added to this cute and quaint household keepsake. And, you’ll be proud to say you made it yourself!
