Jared’s 2016 Epic Nerf Battle earned the title Guinness World Record Holder for, “Largest Toy Pistol Fight.” In the record-breaking event, a reported 4,394 Nerf blasters were used. This year’s event will feature YouTube celebrities, Drac the Nerf Vampire, Aaron Esser and Paul Kousky, with more celebrity appearances to be announced soon.

While the event is sure to be delightful mayhem, there are a few rules. For instance, those 17 years and under must wear eye protection (in fact, that’s probably a good idea for everyone–regardless of age), you must bring your own Nerf guns and ammo (other brands are discouraged) and plan to leave behind the ammo that you bring. Also, no modified Nerf guns will be allowed at this event.

Nerf was developed by Parker Brothers (now owned by Hasbro) in the late 1960s. Some fans of the popular toy contend that Nerf stands for Non-Expanding Recreational Foam, but that fact has been disputed. Nerf’s revenues are a reported $400 million annually.
