Treaty Oak Distilling, which opened its doors in 2006 and grew to its Dripping Springs location in 2016, has announced it will be hosting a farmers market beginning March 16, 2019. For some phenomenal, locally sourced produce and products, as well as the opportunity to sample a sip or two at their ranch property, it’s a win-win for this innovative Hill Country distillery.

Treaty Oak is familiar to its fans and followers as a beverage and event destination. It’s been able to parlay its weekend event hosting into full-service soirees, complete with food pairings from The Rickhouse as well as Alice’s – two on-site restaurants at its Dripping Springs location. Named for the famous tree in Austin beneath which Stephen F. Austin signed his treaties defining Texas borders, the company’s move to Dripping Springs was inspired by its “rich history of gatherings and shared perspectives.” Adding to their contingent of wonderful events, the distillery has partnered with Lonestar Farmers Markets (known for operating at the Hill Country Galleria on Sundays) to host the market from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Treaty Oak farmers market will open its first event with a yoga class at 10 a.m. on March 16, featuring a cocktail with each $10 registration. According to local media, future farmers market events at the distillery property may also include cooking classes and gardening demonstrations. Treaty Oak has never been one to shy away from change and forward thinking. They were only the fourth distillery to open in Texas, and they’ve since established gin and whiskey portfolios in seven additional states. Treaty Oak’s event listing can be found on their main page at the link available here. In a quote from its founder, Daniel Barnes, the distillery’s pioneering spirit is captured perfectly: “We strive to strike the perfect balance between heritage and innovation. Our willingness to be different based on knowledge and expertise is what sets us apart.”
