Bandera Riverfest Bandera is always chock-full of fun things to do and this weekend is no different. Enjoy some family fun in Bandera with some exciting river activities, arts and crafts, children’s activities, music and more along the river banks. Enjoy a car show and parts swap meet or enter the BBQ contest. Sponsored by the Bandera Business Association. Free. 10 a.m. –  6 p.m. Bandera City Park, 1102 Maple Street, Bandera, Texas.

Boerne FFA Alumni Association Greyhound Games Let the battles begin! Head out to Boerne for some good family fun and friendly competitions. Teams of three will compete in skeet shooting, washers, and bowling. For grill masters, there will be a BBQ cook-off to test those grillin’ skills. Finally, for those with a good eye for deals, there will be a live and silent auction. Team entry fee is $75 per team. BBQ cook off entry fee is 2 briskets and 2 chickens. Free to the pubic. 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. KC Jr Livestock Barn, 1307 River Road, Boerne, Texas.

Food Truck Festival Only in the Texas Hill Country could someone find a way to pair food truck cuisine with wine. Twelve food trucks from the San Antonio and Hill Country region will showcase their cuisine for purchase and approximately ten Hill Country wineries will offer their wine for sale by the glass or bottle. As always, the bar at Luckenbach will be stocked with ice cold beer and Americana music will fill the air. $15 per person. Noon – 11:30 p.m. Luckenbach, Texas.

Hye Heritage Festival Happy 13oth birthday, Hye! Naturally, there will be a celebration. Preserve, protect and share Hye’s heritage and promote the wine growers, farmers, craftsmen and businesses of Hye at this festival. There will be live music, Model T tours of the ranch, blacksmith demos, Sons & Daughters of the Republic Reenactors, Buggy Barn stagecoach rides, Cross T Ranch up-close longhorns, tournaments, and a ranch dinner (which must be ordered in advance). $10. Grounds open at 11 a.m. Watson’s Historic 4R Ranch, 9726 US 290 West, Johnson City, Texas.
