Annual LBJ Fishing Day This has got to be the day you will catch the “big one”. This is an annual family event that offers great fishing and free fishing clinics to children and families. Free. 10 a.m. – noon. LBJ State Park & Historic Site, 199 Park Rd 52, Stonewall, Texas.

Cowboys & Cajuns Enjoy some live music and dancing at Junction’s annual festival. There will also be a crawfish boil and a Miss Kimble County Pageant. Free. 6 – 11 p.m. Junction Volunteer Fire Department & Courthouse, Junction, Texas.

Hye Heritage Festival Happy 13oth birthday, Hye! Naturally, there will be a celebration. Preserve, protect and share Hye’s heritage and promote the wine growers, farmers, craftsmen and businesses of Hye at this festival. There will be live music, Model T tours of the ranch, blacksmith demos, Sons & Daughters of the Republic Reenactors, Buggy Barn stagecoach rides, Cross T Ranch up-close longhorns, tournaments, and a ranch dinner (which must be ordered in advance). $10. Grounds open at 11 a.m. Watson’s Historic 4R Ranch, 9726 US 290 West, Johnson City, Texas.

Lakeshore Volunteer Fire Department Community Picnic Community Fund Raiser Potluck picnic. Come out and come together as a community for this amazing community fund raiser and pot luck picnic. Bring your signature side dish to help support the Lakeshore Volunteer Fire Department.
