Texas Big Worm Pumpkin Patch This pumpkin patch is chock full of activities and special events. Not only will you get to pick out the perfect pumpkin, but you can also take a hay ride, feed farm animals, paint a pumpkin, or get your face painted. Special events include live music, story time, contests every Saturday at 3 p.m., and a special day just for canines on October 26th. Be sure to catch a bite to eat at The Big Grill on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free, but there are some paid events and special activities. 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sundays. September 30 – October 30, 2016. BOOtanica Saturdays in October Each Saturday in October is designated by the San Antonio Botanical Garden to celebrate the fall season. There will be a different theme each week with fun, hands-on activities: Monarch Madness, AgriLife Day Harvest, Let’s Get Batty, Wild About Scarecrows, and Dia de Los Muertos. Chalk Festival Don’t think chalk deserves a spot in the art world? Think again! This festival is a true celebration of art, family, and community. Proceeds benefit the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center. Free. 10 a.m. October 15-16, 2016. Peterson Plaza, Peterson Dr., Kerrville, Texas.

The Fall Festival and Great Pumpkin Maze Get yourself lost in the Great Maze before heading over to the Great Pumpkin Patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin. There will also be live music and plenty of good food to fill your belly. Admission $14; children 2 and under are free. The Farmer’s Market at Cibolo Shop fresh local produce, farm fresh eggs, breads, jams, jellies, local honey, and Texas Hill Country arts and crafts at the historic Herff Farm. Enjoy free live music, gardening classes, cooking demonstrations, and children’s craft activities! Free. 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Cibolo Nature Center, 140 City Park Rd, Boerne, Texas.

Fiesta Winery Live Music on the Patio Enjoy some live music every Saturday and Sunday while you sip on Texas Hill Country’s very own wine! Be sure to pick up a bottle or two before you leave. Saturday 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. 6260 US Hwy E 290, Fredericksburg, Texas.

Great Hill Country Pumpkin Patch Find out how cider is made, paint a pumpkin, play an instrument, tour the apple orchards, and groom a pony at this incredible pumpkin patch. There is so much to do you may have to plan on going more than once! Hay rides are unlimited. $6 per person; children 2 and under are free. Open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday – Monday. Harley’s Heroes for Epilepsy Bike Rally Beginning at the Gruene Harley Davidson in New Braunfels, bikers will receive a bite to eat, a Harley’s Heroes for Epilepsy patch before starting their ride.
