Soon-to-be parents and Texas A&M graduates Samantha Perkins and her husband got a heck of a surprise at their 20-week sonogram. When the tech asked if they were UT Longhorns fans, Perkins and her husband looked at each other. She had been a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band, and her husband had been in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.

Then they were truly caught off guard when they finally saw the sonogram: the baby was flashing the University of Texas “Hook ’em Horns” sign. The couple began laughing. Despite the school pride of the parents, little baby Perkins was sporting the UT sign as plain as day.

In February of 2017, a report out of Kansas City indicated another baby had given what was referred to as the “rock on” sign. However, in the Texas Hill Country (Austin specifically), they felt that the unborn bundle was actually showing latent UT spirit. Everyone knows that’s the “Hook ’em Horns” sign… don’t they? Although it appeared like an obvious slight, Perkins said the baby won’t get off that easy. The couple had plans to attend this past weekend’s game (Clemson University) in an attempt at “Starting the brainwashing early,” according to what Perkins told  Their hope is that the baby will become a fourth-generation Aggie. In fact, there’s already an Aggie onesie and jersey waiting for the baby upon his arrival, and more on its way before he gets here in January!
