1. One in Every 12 Americans Lives in Texas

More than half of the new Texans in 2017 were babies, which means our natural growth rate is happening at a phenomenal pace. And, those that move here are coming because of the economy and the jobs – as well as the fact that we’re one of only seven states that doesn’t have income tax.
2. We’re High-Tech

Between 2002 and 2011, the state of Texas added close to one-third of America’s high-paying tech jobs. Our economy has proven resilient at a time when other states are struggling, which is due, in part, to our high-tech, biomedical, aerospace, and energy industries.
