In a recent article by Variety, it was announced that our favorite iconic franchise, “Halloween,” is returning to the big screen complete with the original “Queen of Scream” herself, Jamie Lee Curtis as the star playing the role of Laurie Strode again.

According to the article, “Universal Pictures also set Oct. 19, 2018, as the release date for what it’s calling the final film in the ‘Halloween’ series.” Final? Shouldn’t “Halloween H20” have been the final? I mean, she did cut his head off, if I’m not mistaken, at the end, but then again he does keep coming back, and back, and back.

With a slew of remakes created over the years, nothing compares to the classic original. Kids all across America were a little scared at Halloween wondering if Michael Myers was lurking in the trees.

Produced by Trancas International Films, Blumhouse Productions, and Miramax, the film is set to have John Carpenter as executive producer, and serve as creative consultant on this film, joining leading horror producer Jason Blum, according to Variety. “Carpenter said at the time, ’38 years after the original ‘Halloween,’ I’m going to help to try to make the 10th sequel the scariest of them all.’”

On September 15th, Curtis tweeted out the following teaser, “Same porch. Same clothes. Same issues. 40 years later. Headed back to Haddonfield one last time for Halloween. Release date 10/19/18.” Curtis also starred in “Halloween II” (1981), “Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998), and “Halloween: Resurrection” (2002), shared Variety.

So pull out the old classics and catch up on the franchise as you await the return of Micheal Myers once more to scare up the crowd, and your senses for Halloween 2018, complete with our favorite “Queen of Scream” Jamie Lee Curtis in her iconic role of Laurie Strode.
