The second largest, and oldest outdoor market in the Texas Hill Country is in Wimberley, and it’s opening for its 2017 season Saturday, March 4. Featuring close to 500 booths, tree-lined paths, live music, and some great Texas shopping, visitors can peruse all that Wimberley’s Market Days have to offer from 7 a.m. to 4 p,m. on the first Saturday of each month (except during the three summer months when they close at 3 p.m.)

Admission to the Wimberley Market Days is free, there are three large parking lots, and motor coach tours are welcome. Each month has a theme (the theme for the month of March is “St. Patrick’s Day”), and there’s always good entertainment and great food to be had! They feature clean, handicap-accessible washrooms, and there are plenty of vendors to browse. And all of the profits which are generated go back into the community by donation from the Lions Club! Local projects and activities benefitted to the tune of close to four million dollars by this calendar year; the Wimberley Lions Club will donate more than $155,000 to local projects including college scholarships, youth projects, Special Olympics, Hays County Youth Shelter, and Crisis Bread Basket.
