Cowboys, wine, and Texas? Yes, please! Kiepersol Vineyards, Winery & Distillery recently posted a “save the date” notice that wine lovers throughout Texas are going to want to sit up and pay attention to. The 8th Annual Piney Woods Wine Festival is happening Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12, featuring nationally award-winning wines from 19 wineries in East Texas. Can you afford to miss it? Sure, if you don’t want to learn about “…country stars to down home bars and from rustic farms to elegant charm…” according to the Piney Woods Wine Trail website. And, don’t forget the wine! But, is there a right and wrong way to do a wine festival? Perhaps…

According to the Kiepersol Facebook post, the 8th Annual Piney Woods Wine Festival will be taking place in Lindale – also home to another famed wine venture, Red 55 Winery, owned and operated by Miranda Lambert and family. Part of the Tyler metropolitan area, Lindale has a population of just shy of 5,000 people and a rich past dating back over 146 years. Featuring excellent events and attractions, great shopping, and a number of hotels and restaurants that will make a wine vacation worth taking, Lindale will most definitely be rolling out the red carpet and welcoming Texans and national wine industry followers alike for the 8th Annual Piney Woods Wine Festival. What’s the right way to do this festival? Take your appetite for wine, food, good music, and great company, and pair it with the opportunities in Lindale. It won’t be hard to spot a great wine by smell or taste, but it will be hard to spot a missed opportunity like this once it’s passed.

When Kiepersol says, “…This will be a great opportunity to meet and greet the newcomers to the trail as well! Come uncork the fun with us for musical entertainment, arts and crafts geared for the wine enthusiast, great food, and of course wine!” they’re not kidding! Food and music entertainment from local artists are a regular pairing with this festival, and last year’s event booked the likes of the Randy Rogers Band. What are your wagers that this year will be even bigger and better?! The right way to do the 8th Annual Piney Woods Wine Festival is to get yourself there. Let Lindale and the 19 wineries from the Piney Woods Wine Trail do the rest!
