When the question arises, “Is it more important to love or be loved?” what’s your response? We think the answer is “Both, as long as you do it in the Texas Hill Country!” To prove our hypothesis, we have a few suggestions for your Valentine’s Day in the Hill Country. But you’d better get crackin’–with only four weeks to go, time, candy, and chocolates will be at a premium!

There are endless possibilities for places to eat in the Texas Hill Country. From traditional comfort food to mouthwatering steak dinners, barbecue to Japanese infusion, Tex-Mex to picnicking by a river…if it has ambiance, you can probably find it here.

How About a Scavenger Hunt?

If you’re familiar with the Hill Country, or perhaps you have friends and family that could help you out, why not plan a romantic scavenger hunt? You could plot out places that you and your beloved perhaps have never been to before, or take him/her back to places that bring up fantastic memories. Every stop could have a clue, a detail, and perhaps something unique to do while you’re there!

Go on a Wine Tour.

The Texas Hill Country is ripe with wine, and wine is one of the languages of love, is it not? With so much variety in varietals, sweep your loved one off their feet by planning your own wine tour. Better yet, schedule a wine tour company to do the driving for you!

Plan an Overnight Stay (Weekend Perhaps?)

Bed and breakfast, a hotel, a resort; all three can be found in the Hill Country, and all 3 hold the promise of romance. With time being of the essence (and many others getting a head-start on you), you may want to look around now and secure your booking rather than being left in the lurch (and sleeping in your truck) on Valentines Day.

Go Out Dancing.

If your significant other loves to cut a rug, the Hill Country can help the two of you do just that! Dance halls, special events, charity functions, and so much more, offer the opportunity to sweep them off their feet and around a dance floor. Dance your way through the night, out the door, and off on the path to a night of romance in the Texas Hill Country.
