This March will mark the 3rd annual Fiesta de La Flor which honors the singer Selena’s memory through lively music and celebration. This year, the Dallas-based convenience store company, Stripes, has collaborated with Selena’s sister, Suzette Quintanilla, to release two cup designs that will only be available in Texas Stripes.

According to MySA.com, “March 1 to April 4, or while supplies last, fans will be able to purchase the commemorative cups from participating Stripes stores for $2.99. Stores include Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo, San Antonio and select stores in Midland and Odessa, the release said.”

The official Selena Facebook page posted about the release of the cups, and quickly the post gained nearly 3,000 comments. Many people are tagging their friends in Texas, hoping to convince them to snag a few of the cups for those out of state, while some don’t feel as enthused. Commenter Susana Ayala wrote, “I don’t know how I feel about her image on a coffee cup sold at convenience store. I hope her foundation helps people then it’s worth it.” (MySA.com does mention that portion of the proceeds will go to the Selena Foundation.)
