Texan Deals With a 5-Foot Snake in His Toilet Without Batting an Eye

“I had him out about three feet when he coiled up again, and he pulled me forward. I was afraid his head was going to pop off, but he was perfectly OK,” the Star-Telegram quotes William B. Tedrick, a man who recently uploaded a video appropriately titled “Life on the Ranch: Your Worst Nightmare” to YouTube. Tedrick, who lives out in rural Brazos County, recently encountered an alarming sight in his toilet. A five-foot-long rat snake had slithered up through the pipes and was poking its head out from inside the bowl. Luckily, he somehow knew just what to do to fix the situation.

“We were cleaning up the big house on the ranch that had set vacant for a few years and then this happened.. Life on the Ranch isn’t always this exciting but there are those days…” Tedrick writes in the video summary. The video starts with the snake checking out its surroundings while a plan is hatched to catch the snake. Next, Tedrick shows viewers how it’s done. It takes patience and proper aim to safely get a hold of the snake’s head, and thankfully, the clip has a happy ending with the snake’s release into the wild.
