The living area with sofa and loveseat looks into the dining area where a flatscreen tv hangs waiting patiently for its turn to entertain you. Each cabin comes equipped with Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and Roku in case you need to check-in to the real world. A full bath with walk-in shower and fully equipped kitchen polish off the necessities.

rope swings

Wander creekside and grab some paddles for a jaunt in a kayak, or test your balance on a stand-up paddleboard. Trade the paddles in for pedals and take the aqua bike out for a spin. Finally, whether you’re 8 or 80, no one can resist the temptation of swooping through the air, bellowing out a holler, and cannonballing into the creek from the rope swing.

As evening approaches, gather the family on the large wooden deck. Throw some burgers on the grill and watch the sunset from among the swaying branches of the pecan trees. Stand at the railing and stargaze while the moon reflects on the creek below. And dream about tomorrow and how you can do it all over again.

If you prefer a more traditional vacation rental experience, stay at the Homestead House. This historic three bedroom, two bath, fully furnished home sleeps up to eight people. The master suite includes a king-sized bed, flat-screen television, and DVD player. The second bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a third furnished with bunk beds guarantee the whole family will sleep in comfort.

Whip up culinary favorites in the fully equipped kitchen, or fire up the charcoal grill for some outdoor cooking. Hang out on the front porch or back patio and sip on a favorite beverage.

hot tub GRC

Whether guests stay in the historic house, a treehouse, or a tipi, everyone is welcome to use the entire property which includes the fishing pond, creekside activities, and the indoor community game room. Challenge others to game of ping-pong, watch the big game on a large screen TV, or choose a board game for more family fun. Play some hoops or throw down some horseshoes. Soak weary bones and seek the stars in the soothing waters of the hot tub just outside the game room.
