The first thing you notice about the small community of friendly people is the beautiful scenery surrounding it and the access to the lakes. Access for Lake Marble Falls and Lake LBJ; both of which are favorites with locals and vacationers, can be found here. Along with the boat ramps there are boat and jet-ski rentals in the area to round out your day of fun on the water. A great day trip would be to invite family and friends, rent a pontoon boat, and glide along the waters of either of the constant level lakes.

One of the local favorites is the Hill Country Community Theatre, established in 1985. The theatre produces five shows a season featuring dramas, comedies, and musicals, drawing theater goers from all over the area. Locals and tourists alike love coming to see their family, friends, and neighbors feign characters from favorite books and screen plays. The Hill Country Community Theatre is home to some amazing talent.
If live music is more your style, you’re in luck! On the Rocks Restaurant and Bar has a back yard style stage that hosts some amazing talent of their own! Local favorite and Cottonwood Shores resident, John Arthur Martinez, can be seen regularly performing here; his laid-back manner with the audience and popularity all over the world, along with the gorgeous views and good food here, makes it a must-stop locale for tourists and residents. Or, if you’re hungry for great Tex-Mex while staring out at those fantastic Hill Country views look no further than Julie’s Cucina. This place routinely gets rave reviews for their food and they too offer live music. Julie’s is a great way to unwind on a Friday night!
