Bicycle enthusiasts unite as the 45th Annual Easter Hill Country Tour (EHCT) is right around the corner and ready for you to ride into the beautiful hills and scenery only the Hill Country has to offer.  The event is set for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 30 – April 1, 2018.

This year’s host is the Houston Bicycle Club waiting to welcome you to enjoy Easter among the beautiful roads surrounding Kerrville, Texas. A long-standing tradition founded in 1974 by the Lubbock Bicycle Club, the EHCT is hosted in rotation by the San Antonio Wheelmen, Houston Bicycle Club, Fort Worth Cycling Association, and the Austin Cycling Association, according to its Facebook page.

The three-day bike tour, attended by well over 1,000 bicyclists from around the world, is an Easter weekend tradition and “…fully supported with rest stops and SAG vehicles,” states its website.

Cyclists are treated to a scenic tour along the backroads this tour has to offer. Travel along the panoramic views of the bluebonnets with the hills as your backdrop while you take in the beauty the Hill Country has to offer.

There is no set time to start but riders are encouraged to plan ahead. “Please plan your ride so that you will be able to make it to the rest stops before the posted closing times,” shares the EHCT website. “Early bird pricing is $45.00 until March 15, 2018. After March 15, the price will be $50.00, and onsite registration in Kerrville will be $60.00.”

There are plenty of options for meals and lodging along the route. New this year is The River Trail Cottages which is offering a 20% discount to riders for the tour. For more about this historic tour and to obtain registration information, visit ehct.com.
