If you’ve logged into Facebook lately, you might have noticed that the social media site is celebrating an incredible milestone. They even created personalized videos for users to rejoice with them. “As of this morning, the Facebook community is now officially two billion people! We’re making progress connecting the world, and now let’s bring the world closer together. It’s an honor to be on this journey with you,” Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg posted on Tuesday.

Two billion is a staggering number, especially considering that the entire population of earth hovers around 7.5 billion. According to TechCrunch, Facebook launched 13 years ago, and it originally only allowed college students to create accounts. Now, literally everyone and their mom uses the platform.

Facebook has kept growing over the years with more and more people opting to stay in touch with family and friends via social media. It was only five yeas ago when Facebook had one billion users. For comparison, YouTube has 1.5 billion registered users, WeChat (a Chinese social media app) has 889 million, and Twitter has 889 million.

CBS DFW says that Facebook is looking to create more “virtual communities” in the future, and they’ll be working to cut down on the prevalence of bullying, violent behavior, and fabricated news stories.
