Get ready to sit back and watch one the best boat races on the water. The 2017 Marble Falls LakeFest Drag Boat Races are set to take off August 11-13, 2017, at Lakeside Park. The excitement is revving to go into their 26th year as they capture and wow audiences with their speed and talent racing across the lake.

“Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce has transformed Lake Marble Falls into a liquid quarter-mile “racetrack” as participants race to speeds over 260 mph,” states the Chamber of Commerce’s website. “Feel the roar of the engines and the vibrations in your chest as over 100 boats turn the banks of the lake into a wild three-day boat race party.”

Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series in Marble Falls, Texas continues despite cancellations of three other races. There will be plenty of food, drinks, merchandise for sale, and plenty of vendors to visit throughout the event.

Some important tips to remember before heading out: Outside alcohol, food, drinks, pets, skateboards, umbrellas, and canopies are not allowed on festival grounds. You can bring a 9-quart cooler with ice, unopened water, and medication only according to their website.

There are awesome opportunities to volunteer at this one-of-a-kind event which garner you great bonus items such as an event t-shirt, a FREE wristband to watch the races, and free non-alcoholic drink vouchers among other perks.
