Arlington is presently hosting the 2018 NFL Draft, and as a result, the excitement in north Texas is reaching a fever-pitch. Over 250K fans from across the U.S. have registered for the chance to win free tickets and over 400K have downloaded the Fan Mobile Pass in order to attend the free Fan Experience, according to reports.

The outdoor space at the AT&T Stadium has been transformed into an NFL Draft Experience full fan zone. The NFL explained that the plaza spans, “…the size of nearly 26 football fields, fans of all ages and teams may participate in interactive exhibits, immersive games, virtual reality experiences, free player autograph sessions and more.”

The more-than 400K fans registering for the Fan Mobile Pass are provided with an enhanced experience, with exclusive access to attractions that complement the NFL Draft Experience and the opportunity to obtain NFL Draft Theater standby tickets. Operating today (Thursday, April 26) through Saturday, the plazas at the Arlington stadium will feature fan competitions and games, races, throwing speed and accuracy tests, obstacle courses, and a variety of children’s activities. In a prior press release by the NFL, it was noted that similar events in previous years brought “…more than $94 million in economic impact for the city, surpassing initial projections and supporting an estimated 30,000 local jobs.” If that’s the case, this will be a boon for the city of Arlington, as well as for north Texas.
