1. Palmetto State Park

Located in Gonzales, Texas, Palmetto State Park has a variety of outdoor activities open to everyone. Biking and hiking, fishing and swimming, and camping in a lush environment are all highlights of the fun to be had when family and friends visit these Central Texas tropics. Tubing and paddling opportunities abound. Enjoy the San Marcos River and get outdoors this spring, summer, and fall!
2. Colorado Bend State Park

Teeming with birds and wildlife, Colorado Bend State Park is made for outdoor enthusiasts. Set in a gorgeous location at Bend, Texas, visitors can marvel at the site of Gorman Falls, take a dip in Spicewood Springs, or simply enjoy the primitive camping and hiking to be had in the area. There are also cave tours available and Colorado River wildness to explore.
3. Guadalupe River State Park

Featuring swimming, paddling, fishing, and tubing opportunities, Guadalupe River State Park provides visitors a chance to get close to the water, cool off, and feel refreshed, both in body and in spirit. If the water is something you’d prefer to just sit alongside, there’s also great hiking and camping to be had here. Guests to the park can also try horseback riding, mountain biking, geocaching, or simply having a picnic and bird watching!
