3 Craft Breweries to Add to Your Texas Hill Country Tour and Tasting List
1. Adelbert’s Brewery

Situated in an Austin industrial park, Adelbert’s Brewery features barrel-lined walls and a friendly atmosphere, giving it a low-key feel and a sense of comfortableness. Purchasing a wristband for $13 will allow for a variety of six beers, and visitors can keep the designer glass as a souvenir. And if you’re ready just to relax, you can pull a stool up to a table (made from one of those same wooden barrels that line the place) and listen to some live music. There’s also a nice mix of darts, foosball, and great grub by featured Austin food trucks on site.
2. Jester King Brewery

Located at Ceres Park Ranch, near Dripping Springs, Jester King Brewery is a true beer connoisseur’s Heaven. Featuring farmhouse ales made from well water that’s onsite, native wild yeast, and grains that are locally grown, their beers are distinctly tied to the Hill Country. Similar in how a specific wine tastes from a specific terroir, Jester King brews beer which would be impossible to replicate due to the locally-sourced ingredients combined with their exacting process. Their menu features 58 beers to choose from, and the business is family-owned and operated. While you’re there, you can stroll around the ranch, play a game of corn hole and even pick up a pizza at Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza (weekends only) which are made from scratch and baked in an open-air pavilion in wood-fired ovens!
3. Guadalupe Brewing Company

Nestled nicely in New Braunfels, the Guadalupe Brewing Company opened its doors in 2012 after pre-planning for three years on how to make their product and location the best it could possibly be. Their tasting room is designed with beer-drinkers in mind. An eclectic mix of butcher block-style table tops resting on beer barrels, together with brewing paraphernalia, and minimalist approaches to color and menu. It’s a great place to hang out, sip some suds (award-winning at that), and honor your philanthropic side in the process! Guadalupe Brewing Company uses local ingredients wherever possible and donates a part of its proceeds to Texas A&M’s bee research program and Texas Wildlife sustainability.
