It’s sometimes tough to find things to do that your teen will love, which you can do together and for a brief moment in time, will tear them away from their smart phones long enough to make eye contact with you. That being said, Spring Break will be coming up soon, and if instead of sitting around your Texas Hill Country home hearing, “I’m bored…” you’d rather have plans to get out and do something you both will love, here are some ideas to keep your tween/teen thinking you’re cool, wanting to hang out with you, and relating on a level that’s more “friend” than “frenemy.” You might even get them to crack a smile!

1. Go for a Go-Kart Run!

Adrenaline-seekers will love a go-kart experience, and in the Texas Hill Country, Hill Country Kart Club in New Braunfels and Alamo Carts in Boerne have you covered. Fearless, speed junkies that are perhaps a bit reckless will get a rush; however, parents need not worry as the tracks have safety requirements, rules, and regulations that are monitored closely.

2. Stunts & Experiences

Both fun and exciting, the Stunt Ranch in Austin provides a variety of activities promoting skills, confidence-building, fitness, creativity, and optimism. Tweens and teens will love their programs that range from actual courses (elementary physics) to stunt camps, pyrotechnics, and tactical training! Take them to some “experience engineers” to build some creative fun into your time together.

3. Go Off-Roading
