1. Meadowlakes is officially a city.

While many people mistake Meadowlakes for a subdivision of Marble Falls, it is actually an independent city with a Type A Municipal Government. Development on the city began in 1973. The Municipal Utilities District was created a year later to provide water, wastewater, and drainage services. In 1985, the close to 200 residents voted to incorporate. The population of Meadowlakes is now close to 2,000.
2. Residents adhere to specific guidelines.

Meadowlakes and its residents take great pride in maintaining the pristine appearance of the city. In order to do so, guidelines are voluntarily followed and enforced when it comes to yard and home maintenance.
3. Much of Meadowlakes is a golf course.

Meadowlakes is home to the Hidden Falls golf course. The city itself is contained within about 500 acres, with close to 150 of those being the golf course and its facilities. The 18-hole championship course is open to the public and features a full-service bar and grill.
4. Meadowlakes has lake access.

Meadowlakes has public lake access for swimming and boating. There is also a pavilion, which can be rented for parties and events.
