Whether you’re simply dabbling in the “gluten-free” lifestyle or suffer from an allergy to gluten, you might find it challenging to dine out in restaurants. Luckily, things have gotten much easier for gluten-free folks in the past few years. Many restaurants now have a gluten-free menu or can modify recipes and cooking methods to accommodate those for which gluten can cause a reaction. Living a gluten-free lifestyle takes a lot of planning and it can be daunting to find a restaurant that can cater to your dietary restrictions–especially when traveling.

Famous for their beer selection (which generally isn’t gluten-free), the Faust Brewing Company, located inside the Faust Hotel, has many menu offerings that are available gluten-free. The ahi tuna hits the spot as do the German nachos.

Mama Fu’s Asian House is a chain that touts itself as “Asian comfort food” and also gets high marks among the gluten-free community. The menu has extensive allergen information, helping those with all sorts of dietary restrictions to select menu items. Many menu items are labeled “gluten free,” taking the guesswork out of what to order. The chicken lettuce wraps are a perennial favorite.
