Following decades in the country music industry, George Strait has been recognized as one of the most talented and influential artists to grace the genre. Numerous Strait songs have shot up the chart to the number one spot, and although it hasn’t always been easy, he’s seen it through while remaining relevant in the business and to his fans. He continues to perform in his Strait to Vegas sets, playing his 60 number one’s plus fan favorites, and speaking of fan favorites, here are five reasons his fans love him – aside from the obvious…he’s George Strait!

5 Reasons We Love George Strait (Really, Just 5?!)
1. He’s a True Country Gentleman

Like a true country gentleman, he’s only been married once, to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Norma. (Relationship goals!)
2. He Goes Out With a Bang

When he chose to stop touring, he gave his fans a phenomenal farewell show in The Cowboy Rides Away Tour at AT&T stadium in Arlington (where else?), Texas! Bringing artists such as Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Faith Hill, and Alan Jackson up on stage with him, not to mention his son Bubba (George Strait Jr.)
3. He Also Comes Back With a Bang! (Thank Goodness!)

There’s a difference between choosing not to tour, and choosing not to perform, and we’re sure loving the fact that he didn’t choose the latter! After the touring ended, the music didn’t and Strait came back to the charts with new music and back to the stage with new dates in Las Vegas!
4. He Has Dedication and Direction

He had dedication and direction throughout his life, and not only did he serve his country in the U.S. Army, but he also enrolled in Texas State University, attending in San Marcos and earning a degree in agriculture. And all of this happened before he sang his way into the hearts of millions!
5. He Gives Back
