Located a little over 4 miles north of Castroville, this little gem started with one acre and a dream. The Medina River Winery strives to deliver quality small batch wines while they continue to expand their vineyards and production. Be sure to grab a battle while your there, as they sell out fast!

Indulge in homemade sweets while perusing booths bursting with antiques, crafts, and fresh-from-the-garden goods. Or search out that perfect handcrafted piece for the patio from the local carpenter’s displays. The Market Trail Days takes place in Houston Square from 9 am until 4.

Drive just 10 minutes from downtown Castroville on Highway 90 to sample some of Medina County’s bounty. This boutique winery proudly produces wines from grapes grown in their own backyard. Taste their estate Lenoir, also known as Black Spanish, with smooth notes of blackberry. Don’t miss their estate grown Tempranillo, a Texas Hill Country star grape.
