Let’s face it, there’s nothing exciting about plain ol’ ice.
We’ve been cooling down our drinks with blocks of frozen water for so long, that we don’t even really think about what it could be if we got a little creative.
Not to worry, these unique ice cube ideas that will add a pop of fun to your summer beverage!

Grab some pretty (non-toxic, obviously) flowers from your backyard or local grocery, wash them and stick them in the water in your ice cube tray. Then freeze. Get creative with the flower color combinations and enjoy your summer beverage with a fresh, beautiful touch.

Adding fruit to your ice cubes is a great way to add a pop of color and fun to your drink.
If you’re having a Fourth of July party, add blue and red berries. If it’s Valentine’s Day, add some strawberries. The combinations are endless!

Fill an ice cube tray with water, lime and mint for refreshing and ascetically pleasing summer ice cubes. These work great in lemonade, vodka tonic, or even a Moscow mule.

Who knew that frozen watermelon could function as a really pretty ice cube? Cut the watermelon into square chunks, place them on parchment paper and put in the freezer for 1-2 hours. These look adorable at girl baby showers or even at your summer BBQ.
