Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Received Texas-Designed Custom Pistols
Recently, two of Jesse James’ custom pistols, designed and created at his Austin-based workshop, caught the attention of the world based on not only their unique designs, but also because of their owners: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
On the Jesse James Firearms Unlimited website this past week, James revealed two beautiful Cisco 1911 pistols that he designed for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Pitt’s is chambered in .45acp and Jolie’s is the traditional 9mm. Perhaps the best parts of the custom pistols, however, are the engravings on the pistols themselves.
On Brad Pitt’s custom design, shown above, the slide reads “BIG PAPA” woven into an intricate, flourishing design.
Angelina Jolie’s pistol, similarly, reads “MAMA KNOWS BEST,” woven into that same flourishing design.
Jesse James is a name synonymous with exciting engineering. Gaining public notoriety during the motorcycle renovation trend in Hollywood, James soon felt like he wasn’t nourishing his soul. That brought him to Texas, where he “reconnected to [his] passion for building things with [his] heart and hands.”
Jesse James Firearms Unlimited was created on this premise. These two pistols emphasize what James is best at: making custom designs from traditional mechanical settings.
It’s also fitting for ‘Brangelina’ since they met on the set of the action movie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, where the two stars played a married couple with complicated employment situations, to say the least. The movie has been out 11 years, but no need to spoil any plot points here.
