This Video Compilation of the North Texas Hailstorms Will Give You Chills

While we’ve seen a few different videos of the north Texas hailstorms that ran through the area, this compilation video is harrowing.

The second hailstorm in one month ran through Wylie, Texas this week as residents had just cleaned up the major mess the first storm made. While that first hailstorm packed golf ball-size hail, this second north Texas hailstorm packed softball-size stones, and it does make a difference.

Any homeowner or car owner knows the dreaded feeling that comes in your gut when you hear that first hailstone hit the ground outside. You can only hope that, at worst, there are a few dings. However, Wylie residents just had to hope that their windshields and windows wouldn’t get shattered, and some were devastated.

The Wylie school district cancelled classes due to damaged facilities and though classes returned as usual a few days later, the damage still remains. Remember to abide by any storm warnings you may receive as updates.

Stay away from windows and doors when the weather turns nasty, tornado or not, because even hailstones can cause incredible damage and injury.
