When a Texas Teacher Lost Her Beloved Cat, Her Students Surprised with These

Their teacher, Mrs. Andrews, was mourning the loss of her beloved cat when her students planned an unbelievable surprise for her.

The students of Joshua High School, were heartbroken when they saw how devastated their teacher was after saying goodbye to her lifelong cat. They learned that she was planning on adopting two kittens over the weekend, but they beat her to it with this incredible gift.

The girls first gave her a bouquet of roses and cupcakes, but warned that the best was yet to come. Then, out of the frame, comes a student carrying two sweet kittens, ready to be cared for by Mrs. Andrews’ aching heart.

Two videos, posted on Twitter, show the students delivering their gift of two kittens to Mrs. Andrews, who is ecstatic and shocked all the same. Regardless of how surprising, she snuggles the kittens in her arms and coos over how adorable they are.

While some people have responded negatively to the heartwarming gesture, noting how soon after her cat’s death the gift was given, one of the girls who orchestrated the gift, Ashlei Mahan, stated that Mrs. Andrews “wanted two [kittens] so they could play together & she is extremely happy to have Missy and Girlie.”
