Snake Pops Up From Man’s Car Hood During Traffic
While driving along in rush hour traffic on U.S. 19 in Florida, Tim Mokwa was in for a strange surprise. KHOU reports that a 6-foot-long snake poked its head up from his car hood and seemed to peer in his windshield to announce its presence. Mokwa hurried to shut the windows.
Mokwa caught a bit of the shocking scene on camera while he was driving (shown in the photo above), but once he pulled over he was really able to get a good look at the sneaky hitchhiker. He posted the video he took on Facebook, and the clip has already been watched over 53,000 times. Mokwa remained very calm about the whole situation. Even the caption he wrote to accompany the video seemed rather relaxed, “Just driving home from work and this little guy decides to pop his head out from under the hood. And tried to come in the window. About a 6 footer. That’s only a little more than half of him in video.”
The snake’s current whereabouts aren’t known. It seemed to disappear from the scene, so it could be hanging out in the Walmart parking lot, or it could be tucked back into Mokwa’s car, waiting to pop up again and give an alarming “hello.”
