Plano’s Popular ‘Halloween House’ Says This is Their Last Holiday
Homeowner Tony Giles has impressed audiences with Halloween installations in his yard at 705 Pine Lakes Drive for years. “It’s making memories for the kids, and it’s something that I enjoy. It’s my hobby. Halloween is my hobby, so this is something I do three months out of the year, and I really enjoy it,” Giles told CBS DFW.
But the hard work for 3 months has become too much for Giles. Instead of producing a less than thrilling show next year, he’s decided to go out on top with this year’s installation. Expect to see tons of scary movie characters who make up this year’s theme.
The final night to see the installation is on Halloween. According to the Pine Lake Halloween House’s Facebook page, the event will start as it gets dark at 6:45 PM. The street will shut down so no cars can come through to allow people to safely line-up to experience the haunt. Two police officers will monitor the crowd, and visitors can continue to line up between the barricades until 9:45 PM.
It’s incredible that Giles managed to create such a fun and memorable holiday experience using just his own yard. Even though he can’t keep up the haunts on Pine Lake, he hinted to the news that he might be working toward another, perhaps bigger, installment at another location for the upcoming years.
