Cowboys’ Zeke Elliott to Wear Special Cleats for the SPCA
Ezekiel Elliott will be taking part in the “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign during Thursday night’s game. The special cleats he will wear are adorned with paw prints, an image of his dog, Ace, and the words “adopt,” “prevent cruelty” and “volunteer.”
Fox 4 says that Elliott is no stranger to the SPCA, an organization that aims to keep animals safe and healthy by maintaining shelters and clinics. Earlier this year, Elliott joined forces with the SPCA of Texas’ Dallas location to encourage adoptions. That day, the football player donated $10,000 to the charity while nearly 50 animals found new forever homes.
“My Cause, My Cleats” is a creative campaign that should have football fans closely checking out players’ shoes. According to ESPN, the idea is “designed to help raise awareness for different causes.”
Elliott isn’t the only player participating on Thursday night. Brice Butler has chosen to represent Love Jones 4 Kids, and Sean Lee will wear some stunning galaxy cleats to bring awareness to the Dreambuilders Organization.
The Dallas Cowboys posted the shoes on their Instagram page so fans can get an up-close look. The Minnesota Vikings will be proudly wearing cleats for a cause as well.
