Texas-born country singer Cody Jinks told a Nashville crowd, “I can’t believe this is happening,” in video coverage of his joining the Time Jumpers for a rendition of Merle Haggard’s “My Favorite Memory” after Vince Gil introduced him to the stage.

In early December, Jinks just finished selling out three shows in a row at the popular Nashville venue 3rd and Lindsley which naturally calls for an encore. This was of course done in great style as, three days later, Jinks joined the Time Jumpers during their standing Monday night performance timeslot for this amazing cover.

Jinks has covered Haggard before, most notably on his recent album entitled “I’m Not The Devil,” for which he sang ‘The Way I Am” in an on-point rendition. “My Favorite Memory” was released by Haggard in 1981, becoming his 25th number one. Receiving two Grammy nominations this week, The Time Jumpers are a Nashville pillar and a mainstay at 3rd and Lindsley. Together with Jinks, they combined to make a noteworthy tribute.
