On this week’s podcast by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, the Texas native and WWE legend spoke about his beer habit in the ring during his pro wrestling prime. Former WWE employee Mark Yeaton joined Austin on his podcast while the two had some discourse about Yeaton’s job to throw suds to the wrestler while he was in the ring, often leaving Austin with a bit of a beer buzz.

Yeaton and Austin talked about the “good ole days”, recognized by many a fan to be the golden age of pro wrestling. With the likes of “Stone Cold”, “Mankind”, “The Rock”, there was lots to reminisce on and a lot of beer to discuss! Austin confirmed that over the course of one “beer bash” match in Japan, they went through 115; he didn’t consume them all, however. Austin explained he would sometimes shotgun up to 12 beers in one appearance, and was still able to complete stunts and whip the crowd up in a frenzy.

A 2009 inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame, Austin released his own India Pale Ale, “Broken Skull”, to high regard in the world of craft beers. He resides in Tilden, Texas at a ranch by the same name as the beer, and you can listen to his podcast with Yeaton, in full here.
