Texas Mom Says She Found a Pill Hidden in Her Child’s Gerber Snack
On February 15th, concerned Texas mother Meghan Holt Davis posted a photo to her Facebook page that recently went viral. So far, the post has received 12,000 reactions and over 145,000 shares. Davis hopes to warn parents about something they might not ever consider and encourage them to check their child’s snack foods for any foreign objects, no matter how nicely the product is sealed.
When Davis poured out some Gerber Banana Puff Cereal Snacks for her son, she noticed bits of a small white pill sitting alongside the puffs. On the 17th, she posted, “After taking the ‘foreign object’ to be tested in 2 different cities, 3 different pharmacist have concluded that it was a Tylenol 3/Codeine 300mg.” She immediately contacted the Walmart where she bought the product and Gerber.
CBS DFW writes, “Gerber said it is investigating Davis’s report, and that it has received no other reports like this.” They also said that employees aren’t allowed to wear shirts with pockets nor bring anything into the packaging area of their warehouses. But Davis has updated her Facebook post to report that she’s spoken with law enforcement about another time a similar incident occurred. You can read her post here.
