The Downtown Austin Westin Has a Life-Sized Gingerbread House
The Westin in downtown Austin has constructed a life-sized gingerbread house for up to seven guests to dine in! As part of their on-site restaurant, Stella San Jac, this amazing playhouse made of actual gingerbread is decorated (with edible and inedible additions) to make you feel like you’ve stepped inside of a Christmas wonderland.

KXAN writes that those who book the gingerbread house for a meal will also be contributing to Back on My Feet Austin, a charity that reaches out to the homeless. The Westin website explains that 10 percent of the meal and beverage costs will be given to the organization.

But as Eater Austin points out, the Westin’s holiday structure isn’t the only oversized gingerbread house in town. The Four Seasons Hotel posted a video a couple of weeks ago on their Facebook page showing staff members creating a big version of a Monopoly-inspired village out of delicious treats. Visitors can see the table-top gingerbread village from now until December 28.

The Westin’s gingerbread house, on the other hand, will be up through December 31. Lunch or dinner reservations can be made here to eat inside.
