What does beer and the show “Supernatural” have in common? Family Business Beer Co. Brewery owner Jensen Ackles (star of “Supernatural”) and crew have announced that a second brewpub is in the works for the Texas Hill Country. Its original offering is located at 19510 Hamilton Pool Rd. in Dripping Springs, and the second of its kind is planned for the upcoming St. Elmo Public Market in Austin. The Saint Elmo Road and South Congress Avenue address is much anticipated by fans of the show, fans of Ackles’ family endeavor, and area residents looking forward to the St. Elmo Public Market of which it will be a part.
According to local reports, this marketplace for artisan food and specially-curated retail plans to open in 2019. It will include a variety of vendors featuring local produce, meats, fish, coffee, and more, including this extension of the Family Business Beer Co. Opening its first location in January of this year, the beer production is managed by head brewer Nate Seale, who will also oversee the second project’s production. According to a press release, the new location will be designed around “small batch limited release beers” in addition to other releases as well as a new barrel program.
