During the holidays, the entire town of Johnson City lights the night sky. It’s a beautiful, awe-inspiring sight. If you haven’t been out to see it yet, or won’t get a chance, here’s a neat video shot from a drone flying high above the city.
The Pedernales Electric Cooperative and Johnson City are indeed proud of their lights display – as well they should be. As you’ll see in the video, the lighted forest contains more than one million lights, and Blanco County displays more than 100,000 lights. Just imagine what could be seen from an airplane; maybe even space! The annual holiday lights display runs through January 1, 2016 – so you still have time to go visit!
