Meet Tabasco, the One of a Kind Texas Longhorn

Tabasco is a remarkable Texas longhorn sired by Dixie Hunter, out of the famous Delta Diamond. The bull hails from the famous Butler family of cattle, which has its roots in the Texas cattle trade all the way back to the 1920s. The Butler cattle are said to be known for their lateral horn. Milby Butler and son, Henry, operated the ranches originally out of League City southeast of Houston. Tabasco came along years later, “and his calves are very marketable,” as the narrator in the video below tells us. “He has won shows at all levels.” The color of his mark is unique, and he passes it on to his calves. They show a resemblance to the old bull himself. His remarkable chocolate, red and white speckled color lends him his name. Check out Tabasco the Texas Longhorn right here:
