Combine Strait’s smooth, soulful voice with his boyish charm onstage, and we’ll believe anything he says, until he tells us a fib. In the song, he’s trying to convince the woman who will leave him that he won’t miss her and won’t dream of her anymore. But the sad truth is revealed that if she’ll buy that story, then she can also buy his “Ocean Front Property” in Arizona with the Golden Gate Bridge thrown in for free.

George Strait’s songs, like those country singers who came before him, are timeless. No matter the season or year, his tunes cut right to the heart of being human and that’s what great country is: turning the small moments in life into music.
