In the Courtroom, These Bikers Only Have One Concern: The Child on the Stand
Bikers Against Child Abuse International, also known as BACA, is working every single day for one purpose: to create a safe space for abused children.
The group was designed with one purpose at the forefront of their mission: to create a safe environment for abused children who, otherwise, would feel isolated and alone in the face of trauma. From their Mission Statement, they also state that they “work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children.”
Additionally, their goal is to send a “clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence.”
They are using the image of bikers, which is tough and intimidating, to foster this safe space for abused children so that they may feel safe to begin to move on and are there for the kids at every step in the journey. From meetings and meals together to courtroom appearances when the child testifies against the abuser, BACA is uniting the biker community together to give the gift of peace to an innocent.
