Texas country music star Aaron Watson has recently announced the first dates for his upcoming 2019 Red Bandana Tour. This set of summer dates covers 13 shows across the U.S. Kicking off in Abilene (Watson’s hometown) on June 28, 2019, the tour will start a season of great events for this singer and writer. It launches just days after his new album of the same name hits stores.

In a press release regarding his schedule, Watson said, “I am so excited to announce the new tour this summer with the release of my new album Red Bandana. Of course, kicking it off in my hometown of Abilene means the world to me. Touring is what we do, it’s how we built the business and met so many amazing fans over the years. I can assure everyone that we plan on coming to your market over the course of this record with a brand-new stage and production as well as set list. We’ll be playing the old favorites and a lot of new songs from Red Bandana.”

Watson’s video for the song “That’s Why God Loves Cowboys,” was released on his official YouTube channel on February 17, 2015. It was released on the album entitled “The Underdog,” which debuted at number one. In an interview with Country Weekly at the time of its release, Watson stated, “On every record I always put one or two rodeo songs. I wrote this song with Troy Olsen and Sarah Buxton, putting a twist on it, incorporating my faith, because if you know cowboys and the wide open spaces they work, you know God truly loves cowboys (and cowgirls).” His Texas roots are never far from his songs and sounds, and with this pending album release and tour, it’s a sure bet his Lone Star State fans won’t be disappointed.
