The terrifying events in Las Vegas have many Americans feeling on edge, and with ACL (Austin City Limits) Festival occurring this weekend and next, some people would prefer to not be in a large crowd or at a music festival, even here in Texas, at this time. For this reason, KXAN writes that Front Gate Tickets is offering optional refunds for those who feel overly anxious about attending this event.

“Ticket holders will need their Front Gate Tickets order information, and can either send an email or call 512-674-9300 to begin the refund process,” the news explains.

While security and bag checks obviously already occurred at ACL, KVUE reports that police presence will be amped up this year in light of the recent events. “We can’t come in on the day after an event like we just saw happen in Las Vegas, and not reconsider our plans and make sure that we are comfortable — that we have addressed everything possible,” Interim Police Chief Brian Manley said.

Manley says that there will be more visible officers and police quietly staked out in certain spots, especially in elevated areas. They’re even paying close attention to condos nearby where a shooter could stake out. Manley adds that he thinks people should come and have a good time, just be safe and pay attention to where the exits are.
