Amy Schumer had the opportunity to do what many of us dream of – giving the gift of something huge to our parents that we feel they’ve always needed or wanted. She did this just prior to the holidays when she took the opportunity to give her dad the family farm!

Actress Amy Schumer Buys Back the Family Farm

That’s right, in the grand tradition of famous movie lines, hopes of those that went bust during The Great Depression, and the dreams of thousands of Americans that lost it all in financial crises over the past few decades, Amy was able to do what many of us fantasize about. She bought her dad the same farm that her family lost to bankruptcy when she was a little girl.

Schumer posted this adorable home video taken by her dad, Gordon, that shows her as a young child trying to run away from home on that same farm. In the caption, she wrote “Video from the farm when I was running away in the cornfield and my dad was taunting me because I wanted him to come with me. We lost the farm when we lost everything else. But today I got to buy it back for him.”
Schumer took to Instagram December 19th to share the news and a FaceTime photo still that caught her dad’s reaction, as well as her own huge smile at having the ability to offer him that great gift.
