Travelers who were on board a Cebu Pacific airline flight from Dubai to Manila on August 14 experienced a unique situation when a woman gave birth mid-flight. Passenger Missy Berberabe Umandal wrote all about the amazing incident in a Facebook post that went viral with over 2,300 shares and 2,400 reactions.

About five hours after takeoff, a woman went into labor. It came as a surprise since she was almost two months away from her expected delivery. Two nurses assisted her in the birth of her baby named Haven.

Umandal’s post stated, “We only heard one semi-loud screech, and a few seconds later, there were tinier cute screeches, and it was when we knew the baby was born. Luckily, she only had to push once.” Then the plane made an emergency landing in India to get the new mother and baby medical attention.

ABC 13 reports that the airline’s president, Lance Gokongwei, said, “To celebrate this momentous occasion in the life of one of our passengers, CEB awards Baby Haven one million GetGo points, which she can use to fly with us for free.” Luckily, these rewards never expire and can be used by other family members as well!

Baby Haven and her mother are doing well and have one unbelievable story to tell.
