Airplane Woes Continue With Fight on a Southwest Airlines Flight
Tension has nowhere to escape when passengers are crammed together on an aircraft, and lately, more and more news stories are popping up about fights on flights. This time, Fox 4 News explains, that after a Southwest plane landed on its trip from Dallas to Burbank, California, two men came to blows and even rolled on top of a flight attendant who was trying desperately to stop the senseless violence.
CNN says the fight started while the plane was taxing to the gate. Of course, cell phones were immediately taken out to film the ordeal. In the videos, a woman can be heard yelling, “Get off him. What’s wrong with you? Get off!” One man grabs the other and they end up punching each other over two different rows of seats. According to CNN, the man who started the fight was charged with misdemeanor battery while the other was allowed to continue on to his destination.
One woman, who Fox 4 News interviewed about the situation, astutely observed that perhaps the stress of traveling builds up in people until they’re unable to contain themselves. But another man just shook his head and pointed out that Southwest doesn’t even make very long flights, so people shouldn’t be on edge.
