The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum recently opened their doors to imaginative youngsters and adults who want to see some of their favorite children’s books come to life. Located in the author’s hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts, 6ABC says that one of Seuss’s stepchildren, Leagrey Dimond, stated that Seuss himself would have loved the magical place.

“The 3,200-square-foot first floor exhibition will provide opportunities to explore new sounds and vocabulary, play rhyming games, invent stories, and engage in activities that encourage teamwork and creative thinking,” the museum’s website reads.

But ArtNet News says that this museum contains more than kid activities and photo opportunities with famous characters like Horton and the Cat in the Hat. The space also focuses on Theodor Seuss Geisel’s life. Guests will be able to see a recreation of the author’s childhood bedroom and an extensive collection of his bowties (117 of them to be exact). Original art penned by Seuss himself is also displayed, and a sculpture garden with bronze representations of lovable characters stand outside.

The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum officially opened on June 3rd and welcomed a crowd of over 2,000 people. Find more information about this incredible new gallery and sculpture garden here.
